Google failed results of the yearby analyzing the search queries of users from all over the world.
The most searched this year for information about the World Cup, DJ Avicii, rap artist Mak Miller and writer Stan Lee (all three passed away this year), as well as the movie Black Panther.
Of the news, users were most interested in the World Cup in Russia, the hurricane Florence, the results the American Mega Millions lottery, the royal wedding (wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle), as well as the results of the US elections (the lower house of the US Congress, the House of Representatives, is completely re-elected).
The people most searched for were Meghan Markle, who married Prince Harry, and singer Demi Lovato, actor and director Sylvester Stallone, video blogger Logan Paul and businesswoman Khloe Kardashian.
The five most Googled actors were Sylvester Stallone, Logan Paul, Pete Davidson, Bill Cosby and Noah Chenineo.
As for athletes, here users most of all searched for basketball player Tristan Thompson, football player Alexis Sanchez, skier Lindsey Vonn, snowboarder Sean White and fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Google also named the most searched movies: Black Panther, Deadpool 2, Venom, Avengers: War infinity" and "Bohemian Rhapsody".
